In 2014 we had the occasion to commemorate two great events in history: the centenary of the beginning of the First World War (1914-1918) and the 70th anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 1944 in Normandy.  Commemoration of WWI events as they occurred between 1914 and 1918 continue in France each year.

The region of Picardie, due to its location and historical significance, is a principal participant.  It is here that more than one milion men were wounded or killed in the Battle of the Somme, making it one of the bloodiest battles in human history.
Our region is a perfect base to gain a better understanding of these major pages of world history and to pay homage to those who gave their lives.

When making your reservation, please let us know your needs and we will be happy to assist you in planning your commemoration trip.
